Breakfast and Learn Topic: Singles Ministry in Your Community
Description: We will discuss the vision of your singles ministry and how it affects your community, including how to build a successful model. We will also discuss the importance of balancing your relationship with God and leadership.
Bio: Donna Holmes has been single all her life. In her late twenties, God challenged her to live her life to the fullest, whether married or single. In my thirties, I started looking for ways to serve God as a single adult within the church. I was active with our singles group within the church (at that time, the church had a singles minister) and reached out to our denomination district to inquire about singles ministry in our district. Soon found myself leading our district singles ministry, and realizing in my thirties that singleness may be my life direction, I started concentrating on my career. God directed this area in my life, and I soon found myself moving around to different communities and states. Everywhere I moved, I found a church and started meeting singles within the community. God blessed my ministry to singles and my career as a software designer & project leader.

Lunch and Learn Topic: Superhero, Holy Spirit
Description: The Super Hero of the Bible I will discuss with you is my BOSS, the Holy Spirit! Indeed, there is no better qualified, loyal, loving, accessible, and more knowledgeable supervisor in the world today (John 14:17). We will discuss my BOSS relationship, which includes the plans, purpose, anointing, accountability, and responsibility He reminds me and works daily within me to fulfill my earthly assignment. The acronym BOSS stands for the true Bread in whom I am Obedient, Surrender (my life), Submit (my will), Steward (all earthly possessions), Sacrifice (my body), and Serve (Christ Jesus). These attributes are what I call my S5 relationship in the Spirit.
Bio: Affectionately nicknamed Bro Wash is first and foremost a sinner saved by the grace and mercy of God in Christ Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit that lives and works in every True Believer. His calling is, "If you Love them like you say you do, write the books" (John 13:35). This command was a challenge by our Lord and Savior to fulfill His earthly command, "Love others as I have loved you" (John 13:34). With one completed and another in the works, Bro Wash is the author of the book You Will Live & Not Die: Forced Hand. Lunch and Learn Topic: Singles Ministry in Your Community

Minister Malika Davis, Charlotte, NC
Lunch and Learn Topic: Griefshare
Description: The Griefshare workshop is a worldwide ministry of grief recovery support designed to assist grieving individuals through their grief journey using workbook exercises, videos, and group discussions. The workbook exercises include bible scriptures to meditate on and thought-provoking questions to help the individual sort out thoughts and feelings. Professional counselors and pastors lead the videos and deal with the more complicated responses to grief. The workshops are 13 weeks of walking through what to expect with grief and ways to process the answers. Here are some of the highlights I will cover at the Lunch n Learn:
1. Is this normal? Common responses to grief.
2. Challenges to grief. How to respond and react to others.
3. Why? Ways to deal with your questions about the loss of the loved one.
4. Guilt and anger. Why should I forgive? What if I am angry with God.
5. Stuck. How to prevent yourself from getting stuck or moving forward after being stuck in grief.
Bio: Minister Malika Davis is a licensed minister, teaches how to defend your faith, and is a trained facilitator of the Griefshare workshop. In 2016 she experienced losing several loved ones and was referred to attend the Griefshare workshops. The Griefshare ministry truly blessed her. Those that permit themselves to process have received a true blessing from God through the Griefshare program.
