We are so deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our wonderful friend, Bob Horine. Bob faithfully attended our retreat for more than ten years, and every year he looked forward to it with such joy—often telling us how much it meant to him.
In recent years, when driving from Maryland became difficult, Bob thought he might have to stop coming. But praise the Lord for his friend Chad, who lovingly offered to drive him so he could continue to attend. If you ever met Bob, you would have loved him immediately. His joy was contagious, his spirit kind, and his love for the Lord evident in all he did. Recently, we spoke with his brother Nelson, who shared that Bob wanted to give back to our retreat—helping others who might not be able to afford to attend and supporting ministry expenses. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial gifts be made to Bob's home church and to the Labor Day Singles Retreat. We are honored and deeply grateful. You never truly know the impact of your life until stories like this remind you how God works through faithful hearts. Thank you, Bob—you will be greatly missed. Our loss on earth is truly heaven’s gain. Funeral Details: We do not have any funeral details yet. The family believes they will do something closer to Christmas when more of the family can attend.

Welcome to the Annual Labor Day Singles Retreat
August 29-September 1st, 2025
God is not the God of confusion, rather, He is the Father of truth. Satan is the world’s father, and he wants us to believe that truth is relevant, and each person and generation is free to create their own version of truth. What is true for one person, says the world, may not be true for someone else. The Bible, on the other hand tells us that God created absolute truths they do not change no matter how much society and culture change. Join us Labor Day weekend as we examine four lies Satan wants you to believe but that God who is truth, wants to set you free from!
“and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
It's the 46th year of the retreat, and our 11th year leading it! Explore this website to learn why singles from over 15 states around the US attend this retreat every year. We look forward to seeing you there, too, to explore God’s purpose for you while enjoying a long weekend of learning, praise, prayer, singing, fellowshipping and fun!
It was a great retreat! |

I became connected to this event by my participation in Navigate in 2005. For me, Labor Day Singles weekend is a time for spiritual renewal and fellowship with likeminded Christian Singles. I encourage all Single Adults to register and attend as you will experience God in a unique way.
