Pastor Jazz is a gifted worship leader and pastor of Hope City Fellowship in Asheville, NC. He is known for seamlessly fusing his musical talents, passion for fitness and personal development, and heart for community impact into his ministry. His preaching, pastoring, and worship leadership reflect a deep desire to influence both the local church and the broader culture for Jesus Christ.
Pastor Jazz is a graduate of Ashbrook High School in Gastonia, NC, Montreat College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Christian Education, and Liberty University’s Graduate School & Theological Seminary, where he obtained a master’s degree in Church Planting & Evangelism. Worship with Lifter: Richard and Nancy McBrayer

Richard McBrayer has served as a worship leader in churches throughout the region since the early 1980s. A gifted vocalist and keyboardist, he also brings a strong background in music production. Over the years, Richard has been involved in the production of numerous recordings, including producing several top-ten Southern Gospel hits during the 1980s. He and his wife, Nancy, traveled with the group Lifter, leading worship in churches across the country and at more than 30 conferences at the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove.
Nancy McBrayer has worked with church choirs for over 21 years as a choral director and pianist. She has a passion for singing and arranging harmonies and has also served as a studio background vocalist on various recording projects. In addition, Nancy has led worship at numerous women’s retreats, bringing encouragement and depth through music. Together, Richard and Nancy share a deep desire for God’s people to connect with Him through worship—to lift their voices in song to the only perfect Father and, in return, to hear His great song of love spoken over them. Richard and Nancy live in Asheville, North Carolina, and have been married for 34 years. |

You can sit on one of the benches or bring a lawn chair. Be sure to bring a jacket/blanket, as nights can get chilly in the mountains. We also recommend bug spray and a flashlight.

If you haven't been to the Labor Day Singles and Leaders Retreat, it's time to go! This is an experience you will remember for a lifetime. It's a time to grow in the Lord and make wonderful friendships with people from all over the country, and sometimes from outside the country! I look forward to it every year. If you haven't heard Kris and Pastor Freddy teach the word, you are missing out. It's not only great preaching and teaching but also a great time of laughs and fun.
