As worship leaders and Christian artists, Russell and Kristi combine passion and energy in their contemporary worship music. This incredible couple has dedicated their lives to giving glory to God through their music ministry. Their inspirational music touches the lives of those around them so intimately that it stirs souls and moves hearts closer to God. Russell and Kristi lift up His name in every note and song they sing.
Originally from Conway, SC, Russell and Kristi have been musicians all their lives and in the music industry for more than 20 years. Prior to the couple combining their talents, Kristi sang professionally for family variety shows, including The Carolina Opry. Russell grew up singing at church and also worked in professional theater as an audio engineer. Although Russell and Kristi grew up in the same town, they didn’t begin dating until college at Coastal Carolina University and were married a year later. Sunday Night Worship: Pastor Jay George and Terri Davis

We welcome back Pastor Jay. Since the start, Jay has been a part of our Labor day retreat team, including leadership, teaching, and worship. We are excited to have him lead our Sunday night worship this year and security.
Jay is a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University (ULM) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jay has served in various roles from student ministry to discipleship, singles ministry, to community outreach at churches in Louisiana, Alabama, and Georgia. Jay is on staff at Swartz Baptist Church in Monroe, LA. He is responsible for adult ministry, including singles, family ministry, and outreach. He and his wife, Cindy, have 4 children and three grandchildren. Plus: Special Guest Terri Davis Terri Davis has been serving in singles ministry for eight years. She is currently serving as a single adult connect group leader in her church and in a single mom’s ministry at The Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home in Monroe, LA. She has a heart for other single adults and has learned how to thrive in her singleness, taking each day as they come. |

IT’S MORE THAN JUST ENTERTAINMENT. We believe that Humor is a gift from God that brings people together. Laughter tightens bonds, helps rebuild relationships, and it breaks down barriers so that we can listen. Our goal is to be a role player for your event, using God’s gift of comedy as a vehicle to get you where you want to go. We have years of experience in multiple settings such as: Fundraisers, Church families, Youth, Women’s events, Men’s conferences, Marriage, Singles, Colleges and Corporate events. About Bean and Bailey: Bradley Bean and Jackson Bailey have performed comedy professionally for over 25 years. Their show includes stand-up comedy along with musical songs and parodies. Bean and Bailey were part of the first season of America’s Got Talent and have been featured comedians on Disney Cruise Lines.
Bean and Bailey have shared laughter and the hope of Jesus with hundreds of churches and faith-based events over the past two decades. Their mission extends beyond comedy to include speaking and teaching at faith-based events. Perhaps their favorite audiences are the men and women in addiction recovery centers across the USA, where they are invited to speak. According to Bean, “Laughter has the power to bring unity to groups of people, as well as healing individuals who are hurting.” Bailey states, “I may not be the sharpest spoon in the drawer, but I do know the Bible is true when it says that laughter is a good medicine!”

You can sit on one of the benches or bring a lawn chair. Be sure to bring a jacket and/or a blanket as the nights get chilly in the mountains plus bug spray/flashlight. We will have lights to guide the way.

If you've not been to the Labor Day Singles and Leaders Retreat, it's time for you to go! This is an experience that you will remember for a lifetime. It's a time of growing in the Lord and making wonderful friendships with people from all over the country, and sometimes from outside of the country! I know I look forward to it every year! And if you haven't heard Kris and Pastor Freddy teach the word you are missing out. It's not only great preaching and teaching it's also a great time of laughs and fun. Can't wait for you to join us for the Labor Day Retreat in 2025!
